How it works

Functional

What is a typical interaction pattern (multiple answers)

?Typically, large corporates will either integrate (system-to-system) the ESG Clearing House Exchange Platform into their existing process flow using a direct API connection and/or indirectly through third-party solutions which will also be able to use the ESG Clearing House through an API connection. In addition, next to the ESG Clearing House Exchange Platform there will be an ESG Clearing House Cockpit which is a human interface on top of the ESG Clearing House to control the exchange of ESG metrics with other participants. The ESG Clearing House Cockpit enables human-to-human and human-to-system interactions with the ESG Clearing House Exchange Platform.

What is a 'Data request'?

The Data request is one of two patterns to interact with other Participants using the ESG Clearing House. The Data request allows the initiating Participant to request a data point from the responding Participant. The responding Participant decides to share the data or to reject the Data request.

What is a 'Data offer'?

The Data offer is one of two patterns to interact with other Participants using the ESG Clearing House. The Data offer allows the initiating Participant to actively share a data point with the responding Participant. The responding Participant decides whether to receive the offered data point or to reject the Data offer.

What is the 'ESG Clearing House Cockpit'?

The Cockpit is a user friendly web-based application that allows a Participant to use the ESG Clearing House and interact with other Participant. Using the Cockpit is optional, since the ESG Clearing House can also be accessed via API or could be embedded in various ESG and data management tools from third party service providers.

What is the primary use case for the Cockpit?

Since the ESG Clearing House Cockpit is a web-based application it is accessible to all organizations around the world and there are no barriers to start using the ESG Clearing House right away.

Is the Cockpit free of charge?

Using the Cockpit is free of charge only for responding to Data requests and Data offers from other Participants, ensuring there are no barriers for your supply chain partners and stakeholders to interact with your organization. Initiating - instead of responding - a Data request or a Data offer will only be possible for Participants with a subscription plan.

Subscribed Participants can also initiate Data requests and Data offers, and can access advanced features such as template management and setting standing instructions for data sharing.

Can I create multiple accounts?

Yes, you can.

Product Road Map

What does the product roadmap look like?

The current focus is on providing the core components for the ESG Clearing House, including the web based Cockpit. All functionalitity is iteratively tested with stakeholders, making sure that the ESG Clearing House is fit for purpose. The Participants will ultimately decide the direction of the ESG Clearing House via the governance, for instance via User Groups which can prioritize which ESG metriocs or related metrics will be able to be exchanged through the ESG Clearing House.
